Do you know Monocle? You’ve no doubt seen their periodicals and, at least subconsciously, said to yourself, My that looks intriguing and what is up with that rubber band? But ordinary life intruded and you bought the candy bar instead and went on your way. OK so that’s a bit of autobiography. But I’ve bought the dang thing too. And their hardcover publications are just as enchanting. Somehow encyclopedic and easy to ingest at the same time.
